The board of directors for the Whitewater Grocery Co. is excited to announce that we have a new office location inside the Innovation Center at the Whitewater University Technology Park. This office is an important step toward our business growth.

Located in Suite 118 of the Innovation Center (1221 Innovation Drive), our new office gives us space for meetings, group and individual work, and storage as well as access to University services and a physical location to refer our Owners to.

Before moving into the space, we were storing our ownership and promotional materials in several basements and garages throughout Whitewater. Leading up to any event we were attending, there was a flurry of text messages asking, “Who has the yard signs?” and “Are there more ownership forms in your basement?” Now we have secured and organized storage that is accessible by every member of the board.

Gone are the days of hoping a local restaurant had a free table for a committee meeting! We now have a conference space where our Outreach and Ownership Committee meets. The Innovation Center location also gives us access to numerous other shared spaces, including a large conference room where we have held our last two board meetings.

Our in-office conference tables allow us space to work as a team. We can quickly assemble materials or spread out with multiple computers and work on one project together. The tables, chairs, desk, and storage cabinets in our office were generously donated by Generac. We are so grateful for their generosity. Also, two board members have donated printers and a laminator, and a friendly employee at our neighbor office gifted us a microwave and box of popcorn!

In addition to workspace, our office location grants us access to Business Incubation Services through UW-Whitewater. These services include but are not limited to business and strategic planning assistance, marketing and public relations support, grant writing experts, and regional and University referrals.

We want to welcome our Owners and curious community members into our new office space! Starting in May, we will have consistent office hours, so you can stop in and see us when we are there. Also, save the date! We will be holding an Open House and One Year Owner-versary Party on May 5th. More details coming soon!
