Employment: I'm the owner and lead photographer of katy daixon photography out of Whitewater and the Content Creator for Whitewater Tourism.

Volunteer Experience: I currently serve on the Ownership and Outreach Committee for the Whitewater Grocery Co. I also volunteered in the past for the local independent bookstore, The Book Teller, as their Marketing Coordinator. I also volunteer consistently with the Mukwonago HS (where my husband works) from chaperoning to events.

Experience, education, and skills that contribute to effectiveness as a board member? With a degree in writing, running my own business, and planning and executing a number of events throughout my adulthood, I have strong communication skills to bring to the Board as well as a creative outlook on executing plans. While I do tackle details on projects well, I'm also a big picture person and have taken many online courses and self-taught lessons on checking in with a vision and evolving as necessary. 

Past experiences you had with food co-ops? I've shopped at a number of co-ops in many states and have always loved the level of service and quality they offer. Nothing beats a good co-op.

Favorite Food: My from-scratch, homemade loaded spaghetti. The loaded part comes from using (almost) every veggie in my fridge and two kinds of beans. Best with gluten-free noodles or brown rice so you're full on veggies and not wheat! ;)

Three Favorite Songs: Oh goodness. THAT'S TOO HARD! Mmm...I'm going to give you three albums: Animals by Pink Floyd, Born to Die by Lana Del Rey, and Sublime by Sublime.
