Employment: American Family Insurance

Volunteer Experience: None recently (which is part of why I joined the GroCo, I miss volunteering!) I have always enjoyed volunteering, my favorite past volunteer work was from back when I was in High School and we would throw a holiday party for an underprivileged school, complete with presents that we would buy and wrap (one per kiddo). It was always so much fun and really made you feel the holiday giving spirit, some kids would even ask us to re-wrap their gift so they could bring it home to put under their tree since they wouldn’t get any other gifts. It was something I looked forward to every year.

Experience, education, and skills that contribute to the effectiveness as a board member: I have volunteered in High School and in College, and was involved in a service fraternity while attending Northern Illinois University. While there I served on my frat’s board as the secretary as well. I would consider myself a well organized person and definitely a planner with an eye for detail which will help me as I take on the secretarial role in the GroCo.

Past experiences you have had with food co-ops: None other than shopping at one!

Favorite food: Pizza, Mexican and grilled food.

Three favorite songs: Oh man, this question has had me thinking for days….I enjoy my “karaoke essentials” playlist in Apple Music, I can’t narrow it down to 3 songs but I definitely like something I can sing along to.

Inspirational Co-op: I love the Willy Street Co-op in Madison! So many unique offerings, I love to stop there before or after going to a Madison Mallards game.
